Composure is a practice tool operated by Berkay Baltas. Our AI characters are fictional and our feedback is generated by AI. It is designed to help you build conversational confidence, not to provide professional advice of any kind (therapeutic, medical, legal, or otherwise).
Composure is not therapy, counseling, or mental or behavioral health treatment, it is not a substitute for any of them, and no part of it is delivered or supervised by a licensed professional. We do not diagnose, treat, or offer clinical opinions. If you are struggling with anxiety or your mental health, please talk to a qualified professional.
By using Composure you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Composure.
Composure cannot help in a crisis and no one is monitoring your sessions. If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you are in any other emergency, stop and contact your local emergency number. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day. In the UK and Ireland you can call Samaritans on 116 123. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists local services.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Composure. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use of it and agrees to these terms on your behalf. You must also have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and you may not use Composure if we have previously ended your access.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Your subscription renews automatically at the price shown at purchase, for the same period, until you cancel. A 3-day free trial converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Apple charges your account within 24 hours before each renewal.
To cancel, open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and turn off renewal for Composure. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period. You keep access until the period you paid for runs out.
Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe and may change in future. We will tell you before a price change affects you, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy; we cannot issue them ourselves.
Subscriptions include unlimited conversation practice for personal use, subject to fair-use limits that keep the service fast and reliable for everyone. These limits are set well above normal daily use: practicing every day will not run into them. If you ever do reach one, we will tell you in the app and it resets on schedule. Automating, scripting, reselling, or extracting the AI service, or attempting to bypass usage limits, is not permitted and may result in suspension.
Don't use Composure to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or exploitative. Our AI characters won't engage with explicit sexual content, and repeated attempts to elicit it may limit your access. Practice conversations are for you. Impersonating real people without their consent is not permitted. Do not use Composure to make decisions about another person's employment, housing, credit, or legal position.
Everything you talk to in Composure is artificial intelligence, not a person, even when a character stays in role and sounds human. AI responses and scores are generated automatically and can be wrong, inconsistent, or a poor fit for your situation. Feedback reflects patterns in language, not truth about your worth, and real conversations will always differ from practice. Use your judgment, and do not rely on Composure for any decision that matters to your health, safety, finances, or legal position.
Scenarios, characters, feedback frameworks, and app design belong to us. Your words remain yours. You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive licence needed to process them through the service as described in the Privacy Policy, plus, if you leave the improvement option on, to use de-identified copies to improve Composure. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for de-identified copies that can no longer be linked to you.
You can stop using Composure at any time and delete your account from Account → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Composure. If we end your access for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of your current subscription period where Apple's rules let us arrange it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so, including the licence above, the disclaimers, the liability cap, indemnity, and dispute resolution.
Composure is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that Composure will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that its feedback will be accurate or suitable for you.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Composure, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for all claims relating to Composure is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or twenty-five US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Berkay Baltas harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of Composure, your breach of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own conduct, and it does not apply where you are a consumer and the law of your country does not permit it.
Please read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between us are resolved.
First, talk to us. Most problems can be sorted out quickly. Write to composure.help@gmail.com describing the issue and what you would like done, and give us 60 days to resolve it before starting a formal proceeding.
If that does not work, you and Berkay Baltas agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to Composure or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, and that each of us gives up the right to a jury trial. Arbitration will take place in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or, at your election, by telephone, by video, or on written submissions only. The arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could.
No class actions. Disputes must be brought individually. Neither of us may bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims. If this paragraph is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim, and only that claim, goes to court.
What is excluded. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may ask a court for an injunction to protect intellectual property.
How to opt out. You may reject this arbitration section by writing to composure.help@gmail.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these terms, including your name and the email tied to your account. Opting out costs you nothing and does not affect any other part of these terms.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this section does not apply to you, and nothing in it removes a consumer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence where mandatory local law gives them that right.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where the arbitration section does not apply, the courts located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where that law gives it to you.
These terms are between you and Berkay Baltas, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Composure or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Composure. If Composure fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to Composure, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US Government restricted-parties list.
We may update these terms as Composure changes. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and give you a chance to review it. Continuing to use Composure after that means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, stop using Composure and cancel your subscription. Changes never apply retroactively to a dispute that already exists.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Berkay Baltas about Composure. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a successor if Composure changes hands, and we will tell you if that happens.
